At the Altar

Standing in front of all the people you love, saying words you have rehearsed for months, is a surreal experience. But for many couples, the emotional weight doesn't fully hit until it is time to exchange the rings.

Here are real stories from our Riolls couples about the moment the gold slipped onto their finger and the tears started flowing.

1. The Heavy Ring (Manish & Sneha)

Manish had spent months working with our Surat artisans to design a wedding band that incorporated gold from both his parents' old wedding rings. When Sneha took his hand at the altar and slid the band on, she noticed the custom engraved pattern on the side. The realization of the generational love she was carrying made her tear up instantly, stopping the ceremony for a brief, beautiful hug.

2. The Simple Band (Dev & Rhea)

Dev was not a jewellery wearer. He had spent the engagement period joking that he would lose his ring within a week. But during the ceremony, as Rhea read her vows and held his hand, he looked at the simple gold band resting in the box. "Seeing that circle of gold, knowing she had chosen it for me, made the reality of our future hit me," Dev recalled. "I couldn't finish my vows without crying."
